Staying With Nplate®

Working with your doctor

Your doctor will change your Nplate® dose as needed to reduce your risk of bleeding.1 So work with your doctor and stay with your treatment plan.

Here are some important things to do while on Nplate® treatment:

  • Continue to work closely with your doctor and his or her staff.1
  • Commit to being monitored long-term to manage your platelet counts.
  • Stay on schedule with your Nplate® injections to help increase and sustain platelet production over time.1-4
  • Have the option to call Nplate® Navigator for personalized support and services from a registered nurse.
  • Ask Nplate® Navigator for help with insurance questions or payment assistance.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have any questions about Nplate®.

Staying on schedule with your injections

  • Make sure to visit your doctor to get your Nplate® injection appropriately.1
  • If you miss a dose of Nplate®, arrange for your next dose as soon as possible.
  • If you stop using Nplate® or miss too many weekly injections, your low blood platelet count may happen again and you may be at risk for bleeding.2
  • Your healthcare provider will check your platelet count every week and change your dose of Nplate® as needed. This will continue until your healthcare provider decides that your dose of Nplate® can stay the same. After that, you will need to have blood tests every month. When you stop receiving Nplate®, you will need blood tests for at least 2 weeks to check if your platelet count drops too low.1
  • Always discuss with your doctor what is the most appropriate treatment plan for you.
